Analysis of spread foundations: verification of the bearing capacity according to DIN 4017, highly eccentric loads, limitation of misalignment, sliding. Aditionally analysis of settlements according to DIN 4019.

Bearing capacity:

  • Consideration of multiple soil layers and determination of mean governing soil properties using a logarithmic spiral

  • Consideration of the footing’s base inclination 
  • Consideration of pre-loading for the analysis of settlements  
  • Punching analysis for flexible and rigid footings (DIN 4017) 
  • Optimization of the foundation’s dimensions possible 
  • Creation of a footing analysis diagram with the bearing resistance design value or allowable soil pressure and a set of curves with resulting settlements as well as modulus of subgrade reaction contour lines 
  • Presentation of analysis results as tables  
  • Plan view of the footing (single footings) with forces, the core dimensions, settlements etc. 
  • Presentation of the logarithmic spiral  
  • Interface to the computer program GGU-STABILITY for the verification of the global stability 

Sliding, highly eccentric loads, limitation of misalignment: 

  • Sliding safety analysis adopting user-defined friction angles possible  
  • Computation of eccentricities for dead loads (permanent) and live loads (changable) 
  • Verification of highly eccentric loads (EQU) and limitation of misalignment 

Settlements: 

  • Settlement analysis at the characteristic points (DIN 4019)  
  • Consideration of pre-loading possible 
  • Consideration of the limiting depth 
  • Determination of torsional stiffnesses for single footings 
  • Consideration of kappa correction coefficients (DIN 4019:1979) 

Evaluation: 

  • Presentation of system geometry 
  • Presentation of stress distribution 
  • Presentation of soil properties, general information on your analysis data, adopted standard, program name and version displayed in legends 
  • Freely definable positioning and sizing of graphical elements and legends
