Webinars
Our expert knowledge for you!
Software is a tool that provides the user with reproducible results, enables complex evaluations in the shortest possible time and documents results. When operating these tools, the user's previous knowledge is crucial. For job starters, career changers and anyone who wants to refresh their specialist knowledge, we organize free "webinars" on various geotechnical topics at irregular intervals. A webinar is an online conference to which you can log in via an Internet link. You will then see and hear the live presentation of our speaker. These live presentations will be recorded and are then available in the video archive.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Glabisch
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Uwe Glabisch received his doctorate from the Institute of Statics at the TU Braunschweig. After an employment with Prof. Duddeck & Partner, Prof. Glabisch worked for the construction companies HOCHTIEF and Ludwig Freytag before taking over the professorship for foundation engineering and soil mechanics at the Wismar University of Applied Sciences in 2003. Prof. Glabisch also works as a freelancer for several engineering firms.

Webinar
GGU-SLAB Trailer (4min)
An overview of the potential of the computer programm GGU-SLAB.

Webinar
Analysis of multiple well installations and sump pumping with GGU-DRAWDOWN (36min)
This webinar will demonstrate the GGU-DRAWDOWN program’s ability to analyze multiple well installations and sump pumping after Davidenkoff. Rectangular, circular and polygonal excavation pits of any shape can be analyzed. The influence of open water, confined aquifers and sheet pile walls can be taken into consideration. The program has optimization routines for the well number, the radius and the well depth. And – as with every GGU program - the comprehensive graphical evaluation options allow the…

Webinar
Analysis of elastically supported slabs with GGU-SLAB (37min)
This webinar will demonstrate the GGU-SLAB program’s ability to analyse slabs using the subgrade reaction modulus and the constrained modulus methods. To solve the differential equation which we will have a look at a little later the finite-element-method is employed. Slabs with varying thicknesses and varying material properties can be examined. The subgrade modulus profile can be varied with almost no restraints. The constrained modulus distribution can be defined with stratigraphic profiles. For both…

Webinar
Construction Phases and Dismantling of Retaining Walls with GGU-RETAIN (44min)
This webinar will demonstrate the GGU-RETAIN program’s ability not only to design a retaining wall for a single – and final – depth of an excavation pit, but also to have a close look at state variables like moments, shear forces, displacements etc., which vary with different phases of the excavation. Additionally our expert Prof. Uwe Glabisch will lead you through the menu of the program GGU-RETAIN to outline its competence to compute the state of a dismantling, meaning here to cut a row of anchors and to…

Webinar
GGU-GABION Trailer (4min)
An overview of the potential of the computer programm GGU-GABION.

Webinar
Export of the Potentials of a Steady-State Groundwater Flow Analysis from GGU-2D-SSFLOW to the programm GGU-STABILITY (33min)
To analyse the stability of slopes, the GGU-STABILITY program can be used to import pore water pressure meshes that were previously determined by means of a hydraulic analysis using the GGU-2D-SSFLOW program.
Welcome to the webinar to show you the export of the potentials of a steady-state groundwater flow analyses from GGU-2D-SSFLOW to the programm GGU-STABILITY.

Webinar
GGU-FOOTING Trailer (4min)
An overview of the potential of the computer programm GGU-FOOTING.

Webinar
GGU-DOLPHIN Trailer (5min)
An overview of the potential of the computer programm GGU-DOLPHIN.

Webinar
GGU-CONSOLIDATE Trailer (5min)
An overview of the potential of the computer programm GGU-CONSOLIDATE.

Webinar
GGU-STABILITY consideration of consolidation layers (27min)
Welcome to the webinar to the programm GGU-STABILITY with respect to consideration of consolidation layers.
After a short introduction with a few details considering the theory you will see the handling of consolidation layers and some examples.
