		Geotechnical Engineering Handbook - 1. Edition - June 2002 Full translation from "Grundbau Taschenbuch" Short description This is the English version of the Grundbau-Taschenbuch - a reference book for geotechnical engineering. The first of three volumes contains all information about the basics on the field of geotechnical engineering (cf. contents). The book is written by authors from Germany, Belgium, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Australia, Italy, U.K., and Switzerland.

		Recommendations on Excavations (EAB) The aim of the Recommendations is the standardisation and development of procedures for design, analysis and execution of retaining walls for excavations. The Recommendations have been developed by the Working Group for Excavations of the German Society for Geotechnics since 1980 under the name EAB (Empfehlungen des Arbeitskreises Baugruben) and have the character of standards.
